Symptoms And Symptoms Of Anxiety Essay - 1822 Words
40 million people over the age of 18 in the United States suffer from anxiety. My sister Samantha is one of 40 million (Elements Behavioral Health, n.d.). She has just recently been subscribed medication to help subdue the severity of her illness. What is anxiety? According to ADDA Generalized Anxiety Disorder is characterized by persistent, excessive, and unrealistic worry about everyday things (Anxiety and Depression Association of America, n.d.). Samantha is 23 years old and is someone who at one point in my life I did not look up to. Now, she is someone I would consider a role model. There is a 4-year age difference between Sam and I. We were at different stages in our lives and that made it very difficult of us to get along. I judged everything that she did in her life. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I became open minded and realized that growing up isn’t easy. She chose not go to college and moved out when she was 20. Samantha has a lot of offer this world b ut has made it clear that it is not easy growing up and she is still trying to figure it out. One of the main reasons that Samantha is having a difficult time figuring out what she wants to do with her life is because her anxiety gets the best of her. As she becomes more aware of her illness she is trying to overcome it and be the best version of herself that she can. When a new employee starts with a new company, there are several internal and external factors that can affect the employment relationship. An internal factor could be training. If an employee does not get sufficient training or the training that they may have been promised at the start of employment Three different types of employment status are an employee, a worker and self-employed. An employee can be part-time, full-time, permanent or temporary. They will work under a contract of employment which can be written or verbal. They have full rights. All employees will be workers but not all workers are employees. Workers do still have some rights. Workers will be working under various contracts. Workers do have part rights. Employees are entitled to a 20 minutes uninterrupted break if they work for longer than 6 hours. Workers also have the right to have at least 11 hours between their shifts. They also should have at least 24 hours uninterrupted without work every week or 48 hours every fortnight. By law all workers should also not work for more than 48 hours a week on average over 17 weeks. This does not apply to workers under 18. They should not work for more than 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week. A member of staff who regularly works for at least 3 hours during the night period are referred to as night workers. The night period is between the hours of 11pm to 6am, unless the worker and employer agree a different night period but this must include midnight to 5am and the shift must be at least 7 hours long. When Bidders Edge linked EBay’s site to other online auctions they attempted to level the playing field unfairly by letting all of EBay’s competition see what type of pricing is out there. This is what EBay had to prove. This is what was different in the state of California from the original definition of traditional trespass. Since Bidders Edge was communicating with EBay’s servers without EBay’s permission they could have caused injury to EBay by impacting their day to day operation.
